Vocational Assistance - scholarship for Eastside High School students who are enrolled in Impact Institute to gain training in a vocation or trade. Applications are due in May each year.
**NEW** Dual Credit Assistance - scholarship for Eastside High School students who are enrolled in dual credit courses. Applications are due in February 2024.
Seniors at Eastside High School
The Eastside Area Community Foundation awarded the first scholarships to the graduates of Eastside High School class of 1984. In 1984, there were two graduates that received $500 each. In 2023, fourteen graduates received a combined total of $45,500. Over 40 years, the Foundation has awarded 920 scholarships totaling $808,000, assisting the graduates of Eastside High School achieve their goal of furthering their education.
The generosity of our donors has allowed the growth in scholarships awarded to Eastside High School graduates and alumni. Currently, there are 36 named scholarships, ranging from $500 to $8,000 each that are awarded annually.
New technical scholarships were awarded in 2023. The scholarships were awarded to Eastside graduates planning to receive technical training to achieve certification in his/her field of study.
The Eastside Area Community Foundation awards multiple scholarships to seniors in Eastern DeKalb County, Indiana that are pursuing a formal education beyond high school. Current high school seniors that are residents of Eastern DeKalb County, Indiana (live within the DeKalb Eastern Community School Corporation) or current Eastside High School Seniors that are not residents of Eastern DeKalb County, Indiana are eligible.
A complete application must be submitted to the Eastside Area Community Foundation by March 31, 2024 for consideration of the 2024 scholarships. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Upon receiving an application, the Foundation will request a transcript from the school.
The Eastside Area Community Foundation offers scholarships to current college students that are pursuing their first associates or bachelors degree. Current college students that are residents of Eastern DeKalb County, Indiana (live within the DeKalb Eastern Community School Corporation); or are graduates of Eastside High School in Butler, Indiana are eligible.
A complete application and official college transcript must be submitted to the Eastside Area Community Foundation
by March 31, 2024 to be considered for the 2024 scholarships. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
