"Now that I have been out of college nearly 3 decades, I can reflect with appreciation the dedication others put forth to form the Eastside Area Community Foundation scholarships. When selecting a college, I knew a big campus was not for me, but still wanted to feel that I had made a move away from home. Attending a private school meant an additional financial commitment, but the scholarships I received helped reduce that load and provide an avenue for me to contribute. The application process was one of those activities that makes one feel they are carving the path to the future. Thank you to the Toni Bosserman family for your continued dedication to higher education for the EHS graduates. Not only do your dollars make a difference but even greater is your example to give back."
Melissa (Crow) Eschbach, EHS Class of 1990
"I am very grateful for scholarships that I received! Through the help of scholarships, I was better able to afford a private school that was a great fit and I was able to thrive. Through the help of scholarships, I was also able to more quickly pay off loans and definitely feel more financially able and indebted to pay the generosity given to me forward."
Michele (Hook) Moster, EHS Class of 2010
"You've heard the saying "put your money where your mouth is"? Well, the Eastside Area Community Foundation puts their money where their HEART is!
Their heart is for THIS community and they show it by putting their actions to work! In doing such, year after year, they are helping us to reach our community's children physically, spiritually and emotionally, knowing how dreadfully Butler needs this free and loving service to our children! In the meantime, this heart felt action rolls over onto us, the YC volunteers, as an encouraging nod and slap on the back to us as supporting our efforts! God bless them for all they do and have done so faithfully!"
Cindy Snyder, Butler Filling Station Youth Center Executive Director
“The Eastside Area Community Foundation Scholarships are a blessing to our community! The amount of dollars that are given to Eastside High School seniors each year is unbelievable. Year after year, the foundation invests in our students and provides them financial assistance with their post secondary endeavors. Our community is better because of the Foundation and all they do.”
